Bare root plants can be shipped March-May or picked up in Champaign, IL (select shipping vs pickup at checkout). We will contact you to schedule a pickup time once your trees are ready.
Bare root plants must be ordered in multiples of 25. Bare root chestnut are 12-24″. Bare root plants are cheaper than potted plants, but, for some growers, potted plants are easier to establish if you are new to planting trees.
We source our seed each fall from the top-performing heartnut cultivars from Grimo Nut Nursery. This ensures that the trees you buy have the highest chance of producing high yields of top-notch nuts. Our nursery might be new on the block, but the orchards that we get our seed from are certainly not!
